Details"Aquarius: the Water Bearer" by Jordan Hess (2024). This astrology-inspired multi-media artwork is a homage to the zodiac sign of Aquarius. Aquarius, Latin for "water-carrier", is a signifier of the sign's fixed control of emotions, which is represented by water, one of the four elements. As an Aquarius sun, I am a self-proclaimed soft girl and crier. Something that I once found shame in, has been reclaimed as a tool for emotional healing, a symbol of mental health, and a door to spiritual wellness. Monarch butterfly fairy wings are a symbol of healing, growth and femininity. The magic trinkets symbols on the border create a whimsical mosaic to represent the signs' fixed air nature, ruled by cosmic Uranus and Saturn. I'm proud to be a waterbearer.
